The Line Before

Sometimes we are so focused on ‘the big reveal’ in our writing and plots that we forget what comes before. We forget to lay out the foundation, think about what comes exactly before. Forget the big reveal for a second, and write what comes before the bigger point of your writing. Stop when you inch closer to the grander aspect. Focus on the preceding parts, the small parts.
